The Challenge

The King’s Arms Hotel in Fitzrovia was undergoing an extensive refurbishment. The venue is a traditional pub on the main floor, a cellar bar with vaulted ceilings downstairs, and five boutique bedrooms above. McMullens wanted marketing materials to help brand and ‘sell’ the boutique bedrooms.

What did we do?

  • Developed a customer journey document, to acknowledge all touch points, and consequently develop a strategic comms approach
  • Created a Victorian, quirky and contemporary concept for the marketing design, underpinned by a nod to the royal reference – all with a premium feel
  • Developed a unique, playful tone of voice for the venue
  • Designed a sales brochure, room brochure, door signage, door hangers, bathroom signage and welcome card, and provided content for the website

The Outcome

Over 90% occupancy, with even the reviewers acknowledging the ‘Fit for a King’ concept!
