The Challenge

SPAR (Blakemore Retail) wanted to drive brand awareness and increase footfall by adding theatre to the shopping experience over the Christmas period, and to collect large amounts of customer data for marketing purposes.

What did we do?

  • Created the concept ‘Yule Spinner Winner’ providing online engaging content that kept players visiting stores or playing at home, with a simple spin and win mechanic, funded by sponsorship and supply of spot prizes from local marketing partners
  • Design and development of campaign sales presentation for sales team to share with local marketing partners
  • Design and development of branding and game graphics
  • Creation of retailer briefing documents
  • Design and development of bold POS ensuring in store visibility of the campaign
  • Creation of digital advertising and social media campaign to generate excitement and awareness

The Outcome

  • Customers benefited from instant wins and were encouraged to discover new and existing product ranges
  • 397,000 spins, 30% redemption rates, over 17,000 sign ups to receive marketing emails
  • An ongoing relationship to work together creating digital game activities every Easter, Summer and Christmas.
